What’s the easiest way to get rich in real estate? Many successful investors will say the best way is to buy in bulk as real estate markets soften and values fall. While this is a great tip, how exactly does one prepare for such an opportunity?
Let’s start with a little history lesson so we can understand the pattern and prepare:
- Late 1980s Savings and loan collapse – Real estate market resets, and investors get crazy discounts for 1 to 2 years
- 1999 dot.com bubble burst – Short recession, real estate reset, and investors clean up
- 2008 Great Recession – Massive correction throughout USA, 2 to 4 years real estate sale, prepared investors made millions
- 2026… the next reset – YOU can be the next investor to make money hand over fist if you’re READY
Studying history above shows a clear pattern of resets followed by drops in property values, and investors ready to POUNCE can make millions acquiring properties at generational low points, then sit back and watch as values recover and the investor who was ready to act when the reset came made tons of money.
These resets do not just organically occur. There are historical signs, hints, that a reset is coming. The two biggest indicators are mortgage delinquencies and foreclosure starts. Each historical reset was preceded by these signs, or indicators. So, what are the statistics telling us today?

- The Serious Delinquency Rate (mortgages 90+ days past due) Q3 is up 4% from a year ago. It was the fifth consecutive quarter with a year-over-year increase.
- Completed foreclosure auctions in Q3 2025 are up 35% from a year ago.
